Create Rescue Media for Cyber Protect Home Office Help Needed
Hi:
My configuration is Acronis Cyber Home Office Essentials (build 40338) installed on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 fully patched system. My motherboard is MSI Pro B660-A with i5-12400 CPU and integrated graphics (Intel UHD Graphics 730) and integrated Realtek 8125BG network adapter.
I am trying to build rescue media. The Linux build boots but no network adapters are shown so I have no network connectivity. The Windows Simple build (ISO) results in Blue Screen of Death with error
“A required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed. Error Code 0xC00000f”
Any suggestions on how to fix these issues would be greatly appreciated otherwise this software is of no use to me.

Ken, welcome to these public User Forums.
Quick question: why are you creating an ISO for the Simple version of rescue media? If you want to create a DVD boot media then the builder can do this directly without using a third-party program to burn an ISO image to optical media.
I would suggest trying creating USB bootable rescue media - this can be on any memory stick of size 2GB up to 32GB and is normally more compatible with most newer PC's.
The other check point is to ensure that you boot the rescue media using the same BIOS boot mode as used by Windows 10 - you can check this easily by running the command msinfo32 from within Windows, then look at the BIOS mode information in the right side panel of the report produced. This will normally show as UEFI for most newer computers, especially any that are running Win 11 or want to upgrade to the same. On older PC's this may show as Legacy or else the name of the OS disk drive, i.e. Seagate xxxxx etc.
All Acronis rescue media can boot in either of these BIOS boot modes but again it is important to match that mode used by Windows.

I was using the Simple option to build an ISO for use with other IOS files on a Ventoy multi-boot USB. Having ACPHO write directly to a flash drive solved the problem.
Thank you

Ken,
Because Acronis ISO contains the boot files necessary to launch itself adding to a multi-boot USB will fail. Glad you got it sorted.
