Reinstalled ACPHOA and can't see previous backups in version cleanup

Thread solved

I used the cleanup tool to uninstall ACPHOA and then reinstalled and backed up the entire PC. When I access version cleanup, I can see only the full backup I created. Is it safe to use Windows file explorer to delete the previous backups I created using the version I uninstalled?

You should never delete a backup file via (Windows) explorer. Do so from within ACPHO.

For disk + partition (and whole PC) backups when you first open Cleanup, it lists the individual backup files; if you are using incremental backups they will be displayed if you click on the little plus sign - see images below:

The earlier backups an not listed in Activity tab as that information is taken from the internal index which is deleted when running the cleanup tool.

Ian - Thanks for replying. Any suggestions as to how to delete the earlier backups?

Assuming we are dealing with Disks & Partitions or Whole PC backup, local backups use *.tibx architecture, so it is not a good idea to delete the backup other than through ACPHO - this assumes that the backup task is included.

If the backup task is NOT included in ACPHO listing of backups you should add back the backup task, then delete it. If you decide to delete in using Explorer you will need to temporarily disable protection.
