boot Rescue media fails when getting TIBX file
When I boot using rescue media and recover from a "TIB" backup it is OK.
When I look at a "TIBX" file name, select it and hit OK the program crashes.
Using the Application in Windows 10 they both work OK.
If my drive fails what goos is a TIBX backup I can not access?
Am using Acronis True Image 2021 for WD

Thank you for your response.
My USB stick is 16GB and I am using the advanced mode (Linux) as the simple mode did not work. Tried a few times.
When booting using the USB stick it acts / looks like past versions I have used but the TIBX files are greyed out (light blue).

Steve, if you are able to boot successfully from the USB stick to the ATI offline application, then it shouldn't make any difference whether it was WinPE or Linux based though the former is normally the best option.
Were the .tibx files created by ATI 2021 as Disks & Partitions backup image files? My reason for the question is that no version of ATI can work with .tibx files that are created when backing up a mobile phone as these are not compatible!

Thanks again!
I went ahead and used the advanced WinPE selection, downloading adksetup.exe and adkwinpesetup.exe.
Following that I was able to chose a file and restore it.
There was a bit of a learning curve and on the 1st try I could not find the recovered files but chose more carefully the 2nd time and all was OK.
The "TIBX" backups were still a light blue but worked. Did not understand why I had to choose a date and time but perhaps that is for incremental backups.
Thanks again,
Steve

When you go to restore a backup, even though you may pick a single file, Acronis looks at the entire backup chain and you then have the option to pick the specific date and time for the backup within the chain(s).
