Can not create Acronis Survival Kit with build 39703 on Windows 11
The issue I am facing is that whatever I try, I can not get the Acronis Survival Kit of build 39703 created on my Samsung SSD T5 external disk.
My PC was upgraded to Windows 11 and is using the latest build of Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office 39703.
Support chat suggested to turn off Windows 11 virus protection which did not make a difference.
I completely removed the product from my PC, rebooted and then reinstalled it. Did not make a difference.
Please find attached 3 screenshots.
- error message in activity tab
- error message on failed creation of survival kit
- windows explorer view showing the partition of the survival kit - that should not be visible?
As far as I remember, I never saw in Windows 10 in Windows Explorer the hidden partition of the Acronis Survival Kit of my Samsung Portable T5 SSD disk.
With the previous build of Acronis and in Windows 10 the survival kit creation worked fine.

Thanks for your reply Steve.
I am not interested in finding out what build 39703 is doing wrong. That is the job of Acronis developers.
For your information my Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H 81Y6 laptop is set to use discrete graphics only in the BIOS. So nVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 is steering the display.
I would like to install the previous version of Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office to be able to make a working backup, as I am currently unprotected with a non-working Survival Kit. Could you please point me to a download link?
By the way I contacted Acronis Support and the ticket is [05193996].

Bert, one fairly easy fix for this issue is to increase the size of the hidden ACRONIS HM survival kit partition from 2GB to 4 or 5GB. This works because the inclusion of the Nvidia drivers is causing the boot.wim file to be too large to fit in the existing 2GB space.
You can use a tool such as the free MiniTool Partition Wizard to do the partition resize (by taking a little space from the adjacent NTFS partition).
If you really want to go back to the earlier version of ACPHO, then you should be able to download it from your Acronis Account - look for the drop-down list for the version of installer.

Thank you very much Steve !! Your suggestion is indeed the solution to my problem !!
I used gParted on my Ubuntu to move the NTFS partition to the right and increase the size of the hidden partition from 2GB to 5GB. It took 90 minutes on this 1 TB Samsung Portable T5 SSD, but was successful.
After that operation Acronis Survival Kit could be created without errors. I created a new backup. And I tested it. The Survival Kit booted correctly and Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office build that started was indeed 39703.
Thanks again !
