Cyber Protect Home Office v Cyber Protect Backup

Hi all, like many, I suspect, I have not and will not be using the 'protection' features of the CPHO product which to my mind has rather 'lost it's way' as a backup product and since until now at least I have not used the Cloud Backup features, I am considering the Cyber Protect - Backup Standard product when my current license expires shortly. (and also Macrium!), is anyone here with experience of the two Acronis products willing to share an opinion?

DrMopp,
Depending on how long you have before you upgrade or change products I believe you should carefully weigh the options you have here. I have at least some experience with the products you mention including Macrium and Cyber Protect Backup Standard.
In my opinion here both Macrium and Acronis are top shelf products. That being said I still prefer Acronis. Now I am keenly aware that many here and elsewhere tout the greatness of the Macrium product however, I found it to not be to my liking. I found the product capable but I did not like the interface and I did not like the recovery medium interface at all. A big part of this is that I, unlike the majority of users of both products, run multiple disks on my platforms. The most extreme example of this is a machine I have that sports a total of 17 disks. The Macrium boot media interface is a complete nightmare on this system. Since backup recovery is of most importance here I desire a more Explorer style interface in a recovery media and Acronis provides that. It is not perfect but then, few things are.
The Acronis Cyber Protect Backup product is decidedly Enterprise-centric. This means that it is highly capable but with that comes complexity that is beyond the average user and suitable for IT departments and Service Provider use for the most part.
As for myself I am willing to wait and see what 2022 will bring to the Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office product. I believe that a Home Office product aimed at what is called the Prosumer space is promising. Whether or not you choose to use the Protection features of the product is a personal choice so to me is not a part of this conversation. The backup and data integrity capability of the product is what I am most interested in here and that is what I will use to make any decision on what product I chose for backup and recovery purposes.

I agree that Acronis Cyber Protect Backup is probably overkill. It is very powerful and once you get the hang of it is not a daunting as it appears. I also have PC's with multiple HDD/SSD, starting at two and going to 16. So ability to cope with a large number of drives is important to me. I would also wait to see what happens with ACPHO; but no idea what the likely ETA is. Nothing from Acronis for about 4 months.

Thanks for the input guys, it seems that despite being a business, albeit a home-based one, I have a far simpler requirement than do you, as for the time being at least I have only one disk in each of three machines. Your comments re Acronis Cyber Protect Backup are interesting, as certainly from the features list on the Acronis website (Cyber Protect Backup - Standard) the inference is that the product is pretty much ACPHO without the 'protection' features - which seems like an incorrect conclusion on my part .
