Convert Dynamic to Basic disk option not present

I have a dynamic disk I want to convert back to two basic disks. Plenty of free space to do it. When I right-click on the dynamic disk, the option to convert to basic isn't there. This is why I bought the software.

DD will do that sometimes when it doesn't think that type of disk is supported by the OS. Usually, you can boot to the DD CD and do it from there (make sure the Disk layout is set to the Boot Media).

Otherwise, maybe it's having a problem with the disk being spanned or mirrored. How are they configured? Can you post a screenshot of what DD and Disk Management show?
