Disk Dir 12 created 2T clone of C-Drive fine, but PC freezes at "Hit DEL to enter BIOS" on boot to new drive

Thread needs solution

I just purchased a new Seagate 2T drive and Disk Director 12. I mounted the 2T as a second drive in my PC and loaded Disk Director just fine. It requested I define/format the new drive, which I did. DD assigned letter "G" to the drive.

I then requested a clone of my smaller C-Drive to the new Seagate and checked the box for copying over the boot sector. DD seemed to work just fine setting up the clone process. Then it needed a reboot to perform the function which took quite some time, but completed OK.

Instructions stated that since I copied the boot sector, I should NOT have both drives active in the same machine at the same time. I unplugged the old C-Drive and attempted a boot to the new drive.

At this point, the boot froze with the instruction "Press DEL to enter BIOS" on the screen. I could not proceed.

Unplugging the new drive and plugging in the old one allowed me to boot normally.

1. How do I proceed from here to get the 2T drive to act as my new main drive?
2. Once I'm booting to the 2T drive, how can I mount the old drive so I can convert it to a non-bootable additional storage device?
