Disk Director and EFI / GPT format
Please answer a question for me.
It is a simple question, but maybe not easy.
I have read quite a bit and don't recognize a definitive answer.
I have a HP dv7 1235, EFI system, GPT formatted disk, 1 terabyte, windows 7 x64.
Is there a version of Disk Director that will work with this setup?
I would want it to perform all the functions that the older versions did for older disks.
I have read that Disk Director will not work with GPT format. Here:

If not are there plans to make a version that will work?
Thank you.

I too would like to know when (and perhaps more importantly if) support for UEFI and GPT is going to come about. My suspicion is that DD is a 'dead' product. I asked a similar question about DD and Windows 8 (about 9 months ago) and yet there is still no support even for Windows 8, let alone UEFI and GPT.
If DD is still a live (developing) product I would have thought that a Win8 compatible version should be available by now, hence my doubts.
An official statement would be nice so that we can plan or move on to a more proactively supported product. My bet is that we don't get one before we get fed up and find an alternate product.

The silence is deafening.
I'm investigating AOMEI and EaseUS with a view to moving away from a company with such scant regard for their customers.

Hello Everyone,
I apologize for the delayed answer.
Currently there is no ETA for implementation of Windows 8 and UEFI support in Acronis Disk Director. I'll update this thread as soon as I receive any news.
I've also forwarded your feedback to our management and if you have any other suggestions, we will be glad to hear from you!
Thank you for your understanding!

When I built a couple of new PCs, moving from WinXP to Win7, I decided to go with EFI instead of BIOS and GPT instead of MBR. It's all been good, except one of my favorite tools (DD10) can't handle them. I knew that DD10 was fairly old and assumed that a new version would handle all the new stuff. So I was really excited to find that DD11 had been released. But then I read what it can't do (usually in real tiny light gray text at the bottom of the page). Seems like a half-assed release. That's a shame. I've found free tools that can do most of what I want to do, but I was looking forward to a nice, integrated, complete package. Didn't happen. Kinda missed the boat. Acronis, if you intend to keep DD as a product, I hope you figure out how to get an updated package out ASAP that can handle these things.

To add insult to injury, despite the fact I already have DD11, Acronis have just suggested to me that I buy it again at a knockdown price.
Right now I wouldn't take another copy even if it was free.
If Acronis wanted to pay me to take another copy, that would depend on how much they want to pay me :)
