Disk Director and Partition Format command

Thread needs solution

I have a quick, fairly simple question.

I have recently bought Disk Director 10, having upgraded from Partition Magic 8.

In Partition Magic, as per the default Windows XP install, there are options to perform a "Quick" Format or a "Full" Format, where the partition is checked for bad sectors.

I recently performed a format of a new 800GB HDD using DD10 and it only took 10 minutes.
Feeling that this was rather quick, even for cutting edge partitioning software, I attempted to find an option to select between a "Quick" Format or a "Full" Format, but could not find such an option.

A perusal of the manual and a Google search also did not reveal any information re: such an option.

Now my question(s):-
1 - Is there an option to switch between a "Quick" Format and a "Full" Format, a "Full" Format being one where the partition is checked for bad sectors?;
2 - Of the above options, which is the "Default" (or only) Format type?

As far as I know, DD only does "Quick" formatting. If you want to check for bad sectors, you can check the partition from DD or run chkdsk /r manually (DD uses chkdsk for error checking, which means it only works in Windows).
