Disk Director Home 11 Cloning Win 2000 Hard Drive

Thread needs solution

I'm trying to clone a Win 2000 Hard Drive using Disk Director Home 11. I've got the source and target disk plugged into a Win 7 system on which DDH11 is running. I've tried copying the NT ID and each time result is the same. Cloned disk does not boot up all the way, I get a Blue Screen with "STOP: 0X0000007b (0xeb82f84c, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE.

Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?

Oh, I've got it. Problem was the size limitation inherent in Win 2K. Win 2K can only see 128GB. My new drive was 320GB and the clone was 320GB. If I clone without proportional sizing I'm ok. Win 2K only sees 128GB of the new drive, which for my purposes is ok for now.

Have you enabled 48-bit LBA Support in Windows 2000? It may allow you to use the remaining space on the drive. See this Microsoft KB article.
