DiskDirector 11 fails all attempts to resize volumes

Thread needs solution

Hello Friends,
WinXP Pro SP3 on high-end laptop. Purchased DD1 with Upgrade to AITH13 few months ago. Reinstalled OS 18-20 months ago onto new HD Seagate 500GB 7200rpm, few months later made clone with AITH12 after OS & apps back to where I wanted them. Easily put this clone onto HD last week with AITH13, everything went perfectly. Updated everything, unused apps off, current apps on, etc. Drive was/is partitioned into C with OS & apps and D with personal data. Ran numerous malware and virus scans with updated scanners. Defragged. Failed attempts to resize partitions (volumes) before making new clone & full backup to be saved until next refresh of OS.

After this clone restore, uninstalled AITH12, ran cleanup utility (yes, correct one), carefully went to regedit as per instructions before restart (one snapman is all that remained), restart and then first installed DD11 and then AITH13. Now want to move about 45 or 50 GB from C to D before new clone and full backup to be saved indefinitely. No unallocated space. Tried setting DD to make change in sequence of steps. Repeated failures. Then tried only moving space from C to unallocated on drive. Failed with same error message. Error message below:

Acronis Disk Director Home Update 2

Checked installation package I downloaded when I got DD11, no repair option. Did not want to uninstall and reinstall unless necessary due to inconvenience of reinstalling AITH13 after DD11 install. Hopefully this is more than enough info find issue and resolve issue.

Please forgive long message but I wanted to anticipate some possible requests for more info. Thank you very much,
Leon
