Dynamic Drive in Windows 8

Thread needs solution

I have the latest version of DD11 and used it to repartition my boot drive in windows 8. The drive, of course, was destroyed. I bought a new drive and put on Windows 8 again, but now windows 8 does not recognize a "dynamic drive" that was created by Acronis DD11. The drive and partitions are displayed in Win8 Disk Manager, and DD11, but not in Windows Explorer, so I can't access the data.

What can I do to access this data and transfer it to a working drive?

Thank you.

Hello Larry Seltzer,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

The not recognized partition is already used and filled with data or empty? Do you have a backup of the related volume?

I could see in your screenshots, that the volume is marked as "unsupported" volume type. It might be a solution to convert this volume from GPT to MBR. See the User Guide, page 49, chapter 6.4 for more information.
