In DD, look under Tools >> Acronis Bootable Media Builder. It can also be found under Start >> All Programs >> Acronis >> DiskDirector >> Run Bootable Media Builder.

thanks. i had already been there, i was thrown by the linux or pe choices. i now choose linux for a normal boot cd. am i right?

Yes. The Linux-based option with the Windows-like representation will create the normal DD media.

I built the Linux DD11 boot disk. Unfortunately, when I select DD in the loader splash screen, it goes to the DD splash screen and after a while I get the message that it can not access the ramdisk - Hit Enter to continue.

Doing that basically does nothing. I have to warm-boot out of it.

I made two CDs, one with just the DD11 option and one with Migrate and DD11. Migrate opens correctly.

Anybody have success with the Linux boot CD of DD11? Mine is the upgrade version. I did not have this problem with the CD boot of DD10.

I finally made a Win PE CD boot, not a trivial task. I got that to take me to a win cmd. window where I could work my way to the DD11 folder on the CD and execute DD11. I'd rather have the Linux boot.

Tech support supplied a Linux .iso download link that when burnt to CD worked OK. It was much better than the Win PE DVD I created.
