Clearing History

Thread needs solution

Hi there

Just had to clone a drive and it has worked well enough to carry over drive history from the original failing drive - how can I wipe this so I do not get warnings?

Thanks all

I think if you delete the following file and folder contents you will wipe out the history.

C:\ProgramData\Acronis\DriveMonitor\result.xml and the contents of the folder EventLogs.

ProgramData is a hidden system folder, so you'll have to ensure that your file manager is set to see hidden and system folders.

Err - sorry - using XP Pro SP3 here - assume this is hidden in "my documents" somewhere .....

yes - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\DriveMonitor

But deleting that files does not help - the results came back - unless I have to re-boot to clear?

Exit ADM, make sure it isn't still active in Task Manager, then delete the file, restart ADM.

Note though that if it is Windows Events that are being reported ADM gets these directly from Windows Event Manager so whilst WEM is still issuing events, ADM will keep on reporting them.

In the case of WEM and ADM, you can right click on the event and choose ignore.

This info is was a big help. The events were logged in WEM and ADM copied them to "result.xml". When I would delete it the event came back. Cleared WEM and that fixed it.
Had removed the bad drive and got tired of that little red dot in the tray.

Thanks
