BSOD:Deploying HDD image to SSD Laptops
I need help with my current deploying situation.
I have been trying to transfer an HDD image to a SSD laptop and I am unable to get it to work. It wil transfer over well but on start-up, the blue screen with 0x000007b would appear. And I am getting the same problem as well when I am transferring it to a regular HDD.
What am I doing wrong with Acronis? What should I focus on fixing? Is this a driver issue? The image is a universal deployment for dissimilar laptops.

Hello NP87,
to deploy to dissimilar hardware you need Acronis Universal Deploy (which is not available in trial version).
Thank you.

Check in BIOS the SATA configuration on the computer you imaged and the computer you are trying to image. It is likely that one may be configured RAID and the other AHCI, or AHCI and ATA.... They must match or it will BSOD a couple seconds into the windows flag appearing on the screen

Acronis is definitely a world-class product. Function is absolutely strong. In particular, Acronis software to create a bootable U disk for the machine to restore the function is very powerful, just a small USB flash drive, you can replace the CD and DVD discs can be used for system recovery, disk cloning and migration, Restore, it can be said that the product is unprecedented, but there is a question to understand, that is, Acronis help files and other instructions to introduce USB flash drive for the machine to restore the steps and methods, is not simple and clear, did not highlight the introduction How to create a USB flash drive for the same machine to restore, but with the CD, DVD, USB flash drive, ISO image together, people feel difficult to create USB flash drive, I do not know whether Acronis deliberately?
?From the current online search point of view, without any information in detail with Acronis software, you can create a USB flash drive for the machine to restore, but in fact Acronis software to create USB flash drive, very reliable, through practice, I WIN7SP132 bit The USB flash drive created on the system desktop using AcronisTrueImage2017_8029 is ideal for Universal Restore. The source system is the SSD hard drive, create a boot U disk to restore the SSD hard drive desktop and IDE old notebook are successful, and in the new machine after the new machine as long as the insertion of U disk, do not make any installation and upgrade, just Acronis Set a small change to re-create a new USB flash drive for Universal Restore. That is to say with Acronis software to create a USB flash drive, and then in the machine after the restoration of unlimited creation of a new USB flash drive. I would like to know if people have managed the Acronis software to create USB flash drive method, it is not other USB flash drive creation method, system recovery, system installation and other functions will be replaced by Acronis software? Is it because of the above reasons Acronis has deliberately written and helpful documents written so that people are elusive, do not dare to highlight the Acronis software to create USB flash drive method? Practice proved that the 2016 version and 2017 version of Acronis is able to reliably create a USB flash drive for the same machine to restore. Unfortunately, Acronis did not specify the steps to create a USB flash drive.

acr17, not sure I followed all your questions, but let me try to help
1) Using the media creation option of Snap Deploy or True Image Home, the procedure is nearly identical. Start the media tool, pick your settings and the next to last step is the availability of where you want to create the media too. A USB FLASH drive that is formatted FAT32 will be listed as an option to build the rescue media, but it must be a "removable" drive (in Windows - not all flash drives are "removable" as some are "fixed disks", it must be formatted FAT32, and it must be plugged into the computer before you start the media creation process. This is the same for all versions of Acronis - Snap Deploy, True Image Home, Backup 12, Disk Director, etc. The steps for Snap Deploy 5 are outlined in the online user manual. http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ASD5/#13484.html
8. Select the type of bootable media to create. You can:
- Create a CD, a DVD, or other media such as a USB flash drive if the hardware BIOS allows for booting from such media.
- Create an ISO image of a bootable disc to burn it later onto a blank disc or writing it to a USB flash drive.
2) When creating any USB flash drive rescue media, you should anticipate that it will overwrite the content of the existing drive. Acronis True Image Home does not format the drive, but it is best to do so on your own to ensure bootability - especially if the flash drive has been used for other bootable purposes (other products), or has been formatted as exFAT or NTFS previously.
3) Only "removable" usb flash drives are supported - this means that your standard external USB hard drive is not supported - this prevents the rescue media from allowing you to accidentally overwrite your data with the bootable media so that your external hard drive data is protected.
