Deployment Failed

Thread needs solution

I have been having issues with my deployment. I have made a master image and I am trying to image it onto one of my other machines using the Snap Deploy Management Console. However, I keep getting the error messages,
Failed to download image, Segment Receiver has failed. Any help on this would be great

Sounds like you're dropping communication somewhere along the line. Have you tried testing other devices, like a router or switch?

Thank you for using Acronis software and thank you for posting this question in our forum. I will be glad to assist you.

Most of the times the issue is due to Network settings. Please, check your firewall settings. http://kb.acronis.com/content/1711

Also, please perform the following operation and check the results:
- Install OS deploy Server and PXE server on different machine. Then initiate the deployment with PXE.
- Make the image available to the machine with OS deploy server, locally.

- Change the network utilization: Try both unicast and multicast.

Also:
- Boot from bootable media of ASD 4.0
- Validate the image and attemp the deployment.

If this solution does not help, then please collect the following reports and contact our Support team so that we can help you with troubleshooting:

Please zip (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WinZip) the following log files that reside on the computer you have the Acronis OS Deploy Server component installed on:

    * Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\FileServer\Logs (in Windows Vista/2008 it is ProgramData\FileServer\Logs)
    * Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\DeployServer\ (in Windows Vista/208 it is ProgramData\DeployServer\)

Please obtain PCAP logs from Acronis OS Deploy Server machine when the issue occurs and specify the OS Deploy server machine IP address (see Acronis Knowledge Base Article: http://kb.acronis.com/content/1763).
