Thread needs solution

2 brand new Dell Optiplex 7040 desktops out of the box: I booted using PXE and running 5.0.1,666, and I'm getting the below error.
I've tried with and without RAID, AHCI, Factory BIOS and Default BIOS.

Loading, please wait...
no raid disks
Reading all physical volumes.
No volume groups found
No volume groups found
No volume groups found
The system is going down NOW!

This only happens after PXE boot and once I attempt to run the deployment task.

I even reuploaded all components to PXE.

Try removing the PXE component (since it looks like you ugpraded to 1666), reboot and then re-install PXE component again.

From the Dell, you should also have the option to boot UEFI PXE or Legacy PXE - try UEFI PXE after you take care of the 1st recommendation of re-installing the PXE component.

Also, keep in mind that the default media and deployment server are LINUX based so if the system is set in RAID mode (many of the new systems that are coming with a single NVME PCIE hard drive are set in RAID by default by Dell, even if they only have one hard drive).  Linux does not have very good RAID controller driver support so WinPE is usually better for systems in these situations.  You could create a .WIM file using the PE builder in SD5, but then would need to inject the IRST (INtel Rapid Storage Technology) drivers into the boot.wim file and then upload the .wim file to the deploment server and can pick it as an option from there.  It is much slower to load the .WIM than the default LInux media, but can be useful.
