Onboard NIC not detected booting from Snap Deploy Agent CD...

Thread needs solution

I've seen many similar threads and I too, am in need of a fix to the NIC not being detected in new Dell Latitude E6510 laptops. We are using Acronis Snap Deploy 3 and deploy images in Standalone mode over the network.

Please help as we have a large shipment of new PC's coming in and I currently have no way of imaging them.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hello Vinnie,

Thank you for posting and welcome to our forum community.

I would like to offer you two solutions to this problem. First of all, you can try downloading the latest bootable media from your Acronis web-account, please check this article for instructions.

I will also follow-up with a private message with instructions for updating Acronis Snap Deploy 3 bootable components.

If you need additional assistance, please let me know.

Thank you.

I am a trial user, trying to determine whether the product is stable and worth the money. I am experiencing a similar problem with getting the snap deploy agent to pull a dhcp address. The funny thing is that the network configuration page indicates that the cable is unplugged. I can load the master image module and get an address. What I found was that it seems to have some success if the OEM OS is loaded and configured and then the machine is rebooted using the boot cd. However this won't work because I dont want to have to load the OEM OS and then deploy an image. I have seen several threads that indicate you are posting a fix in a PM (to similar issues). Not sure why you do that, the forum serves very little good if the fixes are not included in the threads. As a trial customer looking to implement at a school I am not impressed but willing to see this through to the end before making a decision.

Hello Greg,

Thank you for your post and I will definitely help you.

I am sorry for the inconvenience but the reason that we do not post the fix for such issues in public is because the updated bootable components require unique links to be generated. I will provide you with instructions via a private message in a few minutes.

If you need additional assistance, please let me know.

Thank you.

Dear Anton,

May I also have the updated bootable components. I would like to use the PXE server but given no new version has come out since October last year, we are finding more and more that NICS on new machines are not being recognised. This forces us to deploy locally using methods that do not require pre-OS NIC recognition.

Thanking you in advance.

Hello Levwinski,

In a few minutes I will send you the necessary instructions and if you need additional assistance, please let me know.

Thank you.

May I also have the updated bootable components please.

I'm trying to test your product but it doesn work with vostro 230.
