Snap Deploy w/ Windows 7 issue trying to join a Domain

Thread needs solution

I first imaged a PC and joined it to a workgroup then after it finished and I was able to logon as local Admin I joined it to the Domain rebooted and couldn't logon to a Domain so I logged on as Local Admin and it shows it still in a workgroup after I previously joined a Domain ??? What is up with that....

Ok so I created another template pushed it out to the same PC and joined it to the Domain instead of workgroup ( within the template ) and after it rebooted after imaging when I tried to logon I got an error -------> the trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed

Is anyone have any issues imaging Windows 7 is there something I need to do that I'm not doing ?
I'm running Version 3292 by the way !

Thanks,

Joe

Wow no one else has had any issues with Windows 7 -- I guess I can try to join the domain rather then a Workgroup and see if that works better, maybe it doesnt like going from a Workgroup to Domain after imaging ! NOT SURE :(

Hello hackerjoe!

Thank you for finding time to open the thread about the issue, and let me help you with your question.

To be honest, we never heard about such and issue before. I consulted with the Second Level of support, and it is most likely that the issue is related to some glitch in Windows 7 itself: we patch the system only after the first boot, and after that doesn't deal with it anymore.

But anyway I would like to check the settings that was applied after the deployment, so could you please kindly gather for us the following information:

  1. Settings of the deployment template
  2. Logs from folder C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Acronis
  3.    a. Please send us a copy of %Windows%\Debug\ folder from the restored system (after boot up) and the logs of Snap Deploy "patcher", the names of which look like "os_patcher[dd.mm.yy].log" and are located in %Windows%\System32\ folder.
       b. If there is a window with message saying that the system is being patched and it prevents you from logging into Windows, then please click on the red "X" to close the window. This should allow you to log into the system.

Please kindly contact us with the information gathered, we will review it and find a solution.

Should you have any other questions or face any difficulties with collecting the investigation information, please, just post a comment here, and we will certainly help you!

Thank you in advance for cooperation! I will be waiting for your reply!

Hi Yana,

I am experiencing the same issues. Were you able to assist hackerjoe and if so, could you share the resolution?

Thanks!
