SnapDeploy - computer reboot automatically when session start

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have been successfully able to create a backup file with Snapdeploy based on a Dell Optiplex 755, but the workstation reboot a second or two after a push the deploy button when I do a manuall deployment.

I used PXE boot to create the image and I use PXE boot when I try to restore the image, the restore faile on both the Optiplex 755 witch I took the image on and also when I try on a dell GX620.

I have my licenses in place and I use the latest build downloaded from the Acronis web site.

What can be wrong? We have now buying 2700 PC licenses so I hope I can get a good support on this.

Hello Roy Andre Lanto,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Snap Deploy.

Could you please let us investigate the situation and clarify the following:

- Which operating system have you imaged?

- Are you trying to deploy in Multicast or Unicast mode?

- Could you please provide me with the exact sequence of actions that lead to the issue you report, so that I can try to reproduce it?

-Could you please let me know the build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3 or 4 digit number)?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

I have the exact same issue. We have images Windows XP SP3 32-Bit and Windows 7 desktops and usually I get the restart on 8 out of 10 machines when using multicast and every other time when I use unicast. I have tried using same Desktop (creating image and redeploying on same hardware) and I have tried with Universal and they both give me the same problem. We are a week away from deploying for our labs since Fall semester is around the corner and we need Acronis to work. Please help us.

Dear Kim!

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue! We entirely understand the urgency and will surely help you.

This issue could've been caused by different reasons: network conflict, licenses issue, bootable components failure... It's hard to identify the exact cause without diagnostic information, so this situation requires investigation.

Could you please provide us with the following information?

  1. OS Deploy Server logs
  2. Agent logs
  3. Acronis Info from the machine whether PXE, OS Deploy server and Management Console are installed
  4. Wireshark output

This data will help us to localise the issue and find an appropriate solution for you. You can either attach it to your next comment in this thread or send it to me via Private message.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

I'm getting the same thing as described. I'm trying to put Windows XP on a Optiplex 755. Every time I deploy the image the 755 restarts. I've looked at most IT forums with no answer. Has this been fixed?

The error I get says that the .tib isn't available. I've tried changing the sata operation in the bios to ata and legacy, but the error still happens.

Thanks for your help!
