Hi,
We are in the process of testing Snap Deploy. Before we got too far done the road, I figured I would post what our goal is and see if it is something that can be done with Snap Deploy.

We are are going to be deploying 700+ machines this year. Our goal is to create an environment that will allow users to re-image their own machines.

We want to create two partitions on the hd (ssd). We would prefer to store the image of the primary partition on the second partition and be able to restore the primary from the image file stored on the second partition.

We would like to make the restore process as simple as possible with the end user having the ability to restore in a pinch even if the machine is not on the network.

Can we do this with Snap Deploy? If not, has anyone tried this before?

Sure the user is able to restore their own system and ever pick their own image.
As for storing the image on a second partition, you could always just free up the space and run the images from the server. If you were wanting to use the second partition for imaging speed, I would see if you couldn't use the stand alone imaging tool, but it is going to be a little more tech intensive.

If you want to make it easy for the user, then you are also going to have to educate the user where their image is located, how to navigate to it using the stand alone utility and that should be it. People will be your obstacle though, unless you have all technology savvy people.
