Universal deploy not working...

Thread needs solution

We have windows 7 x64bit and have took a master image from one of our Armari Supermicro computers and imaged it to the same model of Armari computers with no issues.

When we tried to image to our older model of Armari computers, the image goes on ok but when windows 7 is booting it just shows a black screen. I have tried safe mode but get the same problem.

We also tried to deploy the image onto our Dell computers, the image went on ok, windows 7 boots but then reboots the computer. It then goes into windows 7 recovery mode and tried to fix any problems but finds none and reboots again.

All computers have SATA hard-drives which vary in size.

My workstation template has the following settings:
Master image Selection: \\\\SERVER\Computer_Images\Workstation_Production.tib
Network Logon: domain\administrator
Target Disk Selection: default disk
Target partition Selection: Fit to entire disk
User account creation: none
Computer Name: blank
Network settings: use from master image.
Security Identifiers: Change SIDs
Files to Transfer: none
Apps to run: none
Universal Deploy: Use acronis universal deploy
Mass storage device drivers: do not specified install drivers
Driver location: none
Deployment Options: Manual

Hello The Neighbourhood,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely assist you.

Most likely this issue is caused by a lack of mass storage drivers for your older computers. When such failures occur, a typical indication of it would either be a constant reboot loop or a BSOD with this code: 0x0000007b.

I would recommend to use Acronis Universal Deploy and provide the necessary mass storage drivers. They are available from your hardware manufacturer's website and should be either in .inf, .oem or .sys format. Please check page 59 of our user guide for detailed instructions.

If you are still having issues after this, please contact our Support team and I am confident that we will get this resolved.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.
