2016 - Settings Changed

Thread needs solution

Prior to 2016, I could right click on a multi (e.g. - month - where event was each week) to determine the success/failure of each event. That is no longer available in 2016. Where is it now?

The old logs of past versions have disappeared and are no longer a part of the application from a user stand point. There have been many complaints about the loss of that feature. You should register yours using the feedback feature found in the app in the help section (book icon) so that your voice will be heard as well.

I would also suggest that you set the "notification" option on each task so do receive email notification of the success/failure status of each event.

+1 on this. Just upgraded to 2016 from 2013 and was surprised by the interface. I've been using True Image for the last 5 or so years and this is the biggest change I've seen.

I too always look at the log and check the calendar that showed the previous backups.

I've only got the 2016 version on trial, so hopefully some new updates will come down the wire. If not, I might stick to the old version (which was working fine actually) or look elsewhere.

Maybe we could have an "expert" mode? I appreciate where they want to go to make it simpler for people, but they have to also take into account the people that like a little more control and information.

Feedback submitted back via the application as suggested.

Julian,
Any real help from the log went missing in version 2015 and 2016. Maybe back in 2017 but don't hold your breath???????

2016 is for Windows 10 users. 2013 does not support Win 10.

I agree here as well, an expert mode would be great! All depends on user feedback I would say. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Yes, an expert/advanced mode is definitely needed.
