Backups no longer run
I am a new Acronis user. Installed it a few weeks ago and all worked fine. The last scheduled backup and subsequent manual backups failed. I upgraded from Win-7 Pro to Win-10 Pro, this is the first backup after the OS upgrade. The message says it cannot find the backup location. I can see the files using windows explorer.

Ditto to FtrPilot. Unfortunately, there's a lot going on in the background with an in-place OS upgrade. Hopefully there are not other background issues with the machine after the upgrade outside of Acronis. With a clean removal of Acronis uisng the cleanup utility and full/fresh install by downloading the latest version from your online account and then installing by right clicking and "run as administrator" hopefully all will be well with Acronis after that. All of your old backup files will still be usable - especially with your offline bootable recovery media. However, you'll need to create new backup tasks and start a fresh backup again - just use a new/unique name so that it doesn't match the backup file names of any that you hold onto from before. I'd also make sure to keep the old backups in their own folders and the news in their own folders too. Outside of Windows (like with the recoveyr media), what you call the backups or where you store them really doesn't matter. In Windows though, the Acronis application can have trouble keeping track of new backups if it detects older backup with the same name that it does not have in its database.
