Can I change the name of an independent full .tib file without affecting the restore?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have created a full (not incremental) image of my C-drive, using the sector-by-sector approach. I notice that, when I do this, Acronis always inserts an extra piece into my filename - something like '_full_b1_s1_v1_'. Can I remove this and give the file a different name without affecting the restore process?

Kind wishes ~ Patrick

You cannot edit the file name because this will mess-up the ATI database.

Warning: If you do what I suggest below things could easily go very worng.
It may be possible to remove the backup from the data base (delete, delete entry but not backup file), then rename the backup file, then add it back to the data base. I would try this with a copy first - create the copy outside of ATI, rename it, then add it to data base. Then see what happens if you try to open it. If it opens, then it may be OK; then I would try restoring it to an empty HDD.
