COM Surrogate Stopped working

I am using a trial version of TI2016 and started getting this error when using my Orico card Reader. It seems to be an old problem with previous TI issues caused by ti_managers_proxy.dll and changing it to ti_managers_proxy1.dll in Program Files (86) - Acronis - TrueImageHome seems to cure the problem.

Yes - thanks. I have sent this problem via the feedback section in the GUI.
I wonder what effect this alteration will have on the normal backup function or in other words, what does ti_managers_proxy1.dll actually do?
Having Windows 10 Reliability Monitor flag up COM Surrogate Stopped working every time I use my card reader is no more of a big deal than the monitor supposedly looking for a solution that never happens. It always seems that it is entirely up to oneself to hunt and sort out the cause of errors which sometimes takes hours.
Since Windows 10 came along, I have found myself in many similar scenarios. Microsoft Updates seem to block some software forcing a search for updated software. Sometime I would be fortunate enough for MS to download newer software.

Now that I am on fully paid up ATI2016 with 3 licenses, the PC with the Orico card reader still throws up COM Surrogate Stopped working, so I will have to alter the ti_managers_proxy.dll again and put a word through to anyone interested at Acronis.
A laptop with a built in Realtek card reader running another license of ATI2016 suffers from this problem as well.
Just what does ti_managers_proxy.dll do?
I would not be surprised therefore that this problem is not unique to my PC's and that other people are having the same problem when using a card reader.
Am trying the 'fix' from post #54 in 35064: Com Surrogate failure which applied to ATI2013 which suffered a similar problem. This involves taking out the original ti_managers_proxy.dll and replacing it with that from the zip file. Seems to work at the moment on both PC's

This problem is back again on AcronisTrueImage2016_6559 when using a card reader. The same cure applies as before although I notice it only happened on my desktop PC.. ti_managers_proxy is slightly larger than predecessors and I don't know if there will be any ill effects using the alternative. I suppose time will tell.

xyzbird,
Please use the link provided by Vyacheslav in post 4 to report your issue directly to the support group. That will insure it gets the attention that is warranted. I would suggest as well that you mention Vyacheslav in your submission.

Enchantech thanks but that link is pretty useless and only seems to work if there is an unexpired support remaining. I will PM Vyacheslav and see if that works.
Message to Vyacheslav reads: Enchantech has asked me to try and report this issue but I don't have any free support left so I draw your attention to this problem which still manifests itself with latest issue of 2016. I continue to use an old version of ti_managers_proxy which seems to work.

An alternative method of contacting support is to use the Feedback Tool from within the application GUI (in Help) and then reference this forum post. You can also send them a System Report from the affected system with the card reader which should capture the Windows Event logs etc to show the error reports.

Thanks Steve. Done.
A copy of what I said:
COM Surrogate Stopped working. This error has started again since latest AcronisTrueImage2016_6559. It is also part of Acronis Forum Post # 102343. The only way I can get it to stop erroring is by removing the installed version of ti_managers_proxy.dll and replacing it with the version in Oleg's post # 35064 - 54.
Can Acronis provide a better fix?
System Report attached.

Oh, just to mention, this problem is still the same with the latest issue 6569.

xyzbird, any chance you can take a small test backup (a few test files) and post it to the foroum so we can test it/them as well? I suspect this is unique to your system and perhaps not the application, but would like to help verify. If you could upload one with 6559 and/or one with 6569, we can test opening both with the same version and a different version as well and see how it goes.
Going back to your original Comm Surrogate error and mounting issue, maybe something in this article might help locate or resolve the issue on your local machine.

Bobbo I am a little confused - your first paragraph concerns another of my posts concerning the mounting problem which I have already responded to.
Your second paragraph links to this post and the solution I have already performed and need to keep performing every time another version of ATI comes out.
