Context menu

Thread needs solution

Good afternoon. Tell me, please, what could be the problem. Installed Acronis True Image 2016, Windows 7 x64. Missing context menu in Explorer. Checked using ShellExView - it's all right. All registry entries and files are present too, but the contextual menu and the Acronis Recovery tab in file properties missing. Tried regsvr32 on the files tishell.dll and tishell64.dll - cannot be registered due to the lack of entry-point DllRegisterServer. Tried to reinstall the program using the utility Acronis Cleanup Utility - the same result. Can't understand what could be the problem. If all the files and registry entries in order, then what's missing?

Sorry for my English, use online translator)

I have seen this before and the reason was that for some reason during Windows integration of the True Image app the .tib file associations were not set to associate with Windows File Explorer.  That can be corrected by right click on a .tib file and select Open with then point to File Explorer and select to Always use File Explorer for that file type.

Hi Alexey, by default, it's not really integrated into Explorer so you won't see entries there all the time.

However, when you navigate in Explorer to a backup .tib file and select it, you can then right click on the .tib file and shoudl be able to choose "mount" or you can double click on the .tib file and it should open in File Explorer after that.  Are neither of these possible for you?

For the mounting issue, if this is a problem, you can try installing this additional app update as posted by Acronis support engineer Slava, just a few days ago.

I am currently having issues double clicking on .tib files (it works, but it keeps telling me that the previous version is missing and when I cancel, it then works, but this happesn every time I click deeper into the backup.  I am working with support to try and identify this issue as it is only happeing on one of my 2016 v6569 machines and just occured after I did an Acronis 2016 repair installation).

Thank you very much for your answers. Still wonder why so it turns out... Given the presence of records in the registry and files I have the impression that tishell.dll and tishell64.dll just simply not registered, however, as I wrote earlier, to register their fails. In previous versions I with similar problems never was and Acronis True Image are perfectly integrated in Windows Explorer. However, it turns out that the context menu on the TIB file is present, and the context menu on any file, folder and disk do not. Below I will give a picture of one of the themes of this forum. These elements just yet. But in past versions they were. What do you have any idea on this? Can do just these libraries are somehow not registered and it is possible to fix it manually? Previously, it was very convenient to recover the desired files or folder using the context menu, not to rummage in a TIB file.

Hello Alexey,

Thank you for your posting! The issue with Recovery Tab disappearing on x64 systems is known to the development, unfortunately there is no fix yet. Could you please send us Acronis System Report as a feedback from the product, I will forward it to the development team.

Thank you!
