Continuous/Real-Time Backup or Sync to NAS

Thread needs solution

Is it possible to configure ATIH 2016 to continuously back-up or sync certain files (or directories) in real-time to a Network Attached Storage Device? By "continuously," I mean that, for example, when I edit and save a Word document, the newest version of that document will be backed-up (or synced to the NAS. Ideally I'd like ATIH to keep versions of the changed documents as well.

Thanks!

Acronis Non Stop Backup is as close as you will come to what you are looking for:

There is a Sync feature but that feature is quite restrictive so I think not what you are looking for:

I have been using SyncBack SE for this purpose. It can sync and backup old version on change, on the source or destination. Synology has also Could Station that does it natively on their NASes. GoodSync does a good job also.

Comparatively, Acronis non stop backup is not as reliable and flexible: for example. you cannot control/anticipate when the backup disk will run out of space. Also, if the NSB file get corrupted, you lose the entire backup.

Of the two -- GoodSync or SyncBack -- which would you recommend? I want to be sure that I can back-up and restore versions...

Thanks, Pat!
