Does ATI 2016 require a Cloud Account?

Thread needs solution

I just upgrade my PC from ATI 2015 to ATI 2016. I do not need or use the cloud for backups and have let my "cloud" subscription expire. ATI 2016 is now in "Recovery-only" mode and won't let me backup? Is a cloud subscription required to run ATI 2016?

You obviously have the TI 2016 Cloud product so without an active Cloud subscription you will loose all cloud based functionality of the product. You will also continue to receive renewal nags for the cloud subscription. This is all by design and is expected behavior.

There are 2 versions of the product available. They are Acronis Cloud, and Acronis True Image 2016. The later is not cloud based and does not have the cloud features nor dependencies of the cloud product so sort of a stripped down product focused on the core features of backup and restore.

This link should help in answering your questions and I would encourage you to contact support about changing your product to that of the non cloud version.
