Failed to parse disk number from device name

Thread needs solution

I keep getting this error when I try to backup.  If I revert to the 2015 product it works fine.  But 2016 gives this in the error log:

Failed to parse disk number from device name

Any help would be appreciated.

I would try removing 2015, then run the ATIH 2015/2016 cleanup tool and reboot to update teh registry.  Log into your Acronis online account and download the full installer for 2016 v6569 and once you have it, right click and "run as administrator" to install fresh with the highest privileges possible.  You'll need to re-create your backup scripts and start fresh (you can still use teh existing backups for recovery, but the scripts should start new).  Hopefully all will be well then.
