How do I initiate Nonstop Backup ?
When I set up a new backup and try to select nonstop it tells me "a scheduled backup cannot be converted to a nonstop one." How does one actually get nonstop backup started??

Thanks for the quick response !
What you describe is what I did, but note the error message at the bottom and that the OK is greyed out. :-(

Hi Eric, I found that once you have created a nonstop backup task that you cannot make any changes to it without getting the same error message about not converting a scheduled task into nonstop. If you open the Options for the nonstop task you will probably see that it is now scheduled with the default settings!
I had this problem yesterday and found that I couldn't remove / delete the nonstop task very easily either!
What I did in the end was to delete the nonstop task from the drop-down choices shown against it - this still left it in the list even though it said it was deleting it! I then went exploring in the Program Data folder for Acronis and eventually after trying various things, I found that I could get rid of the task completely by removing the script associated with it - these can be found in C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder. You will need to open each of the scripts in this folder with a text editor such as Notepad (I use Notepad++) and check the name of the task which you will see near the top of the XML file data.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<batch>
<version>

</version>

Once you have removed the failed nonstop task script (with Acronis True Image not active) then this should be gone when you restart the application and you can then try creating the nonstop task afresh again. You should be aware that the task runs for quite a long time with no indication of much happening apart from disk activity - there will be two Acronis tasks in the Windows system tray area - one indicating that nonstop is being prepared, the other the normal TrueImage backup task. I set this up last night and then went to bed rather than sit into the small hours watching paint dry! All was good when I checked this morning!

En réponse à Hi Eric, I par truwrikodrorow…

Thanks, I had the same question. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or technical savvy (or inclination) to tackle this project. Please let me know when y'all get this confusion cleared up. Very disappointing.
