The installer has encountered an unexpected error This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2203

Thread needs solution

Tried several times and downloaded the upg. package same results every time.

ran a chkdsk c: : no error found

but when I ran "systemreport.exe"

it showed

I don't know what that "#2 FAT32 EF EFI   system"   entry is to check and fix

and get that upgrade to install properly

Hello Louis,

The EFI partition is used to boot your system and contains the Boot Configuration Data store.

If you have a recent full disk backup of the drive WDC WD10EZEX-60ZF5A0 with the EFI partition, you could try booting from the Acronis rescue media and restoring that from your backup image.

Alternatively, see Fix UEFI Boot: Fix for Windows 7, 8 for the steps that need to be performed to repair the existing EFI partition - this should also apply to Windows 10.

A further option is shown in Fix File System When Update Failure Is Caused by File System Issues using the free MiniTool Partition Wizard utility program which will get you to assign a drive letter to the EFI partition then run the 'Check File System' function of the utility.
