"The last [first] backup has failed" "The backup is corrupted, but you can still try to recover data from it"

Thread needs solution

New computer with Windows 10 Pro

Worked fine on my last Win 10 Pro computer.

Tried numerous times. Same error.

Forum not letting me send the 'Acronis System Report"

The system is probably too large. What would be more useful is the content of the log file. You can access log files using MVP Log Viewer which is discussed in this thread.

You could try validating the backup, either by using Windows Explorer - go to location of backup, select last file, right click and select Acronis then Validate. If it flags problems, click on ignore. You may need to do this several times.

While there may in fact be a problem, it may only be with the fist full backup and incremental ones to that backup. Subsequent full backups (and associated incremental backups) will hopefully be OK.

Edit: May have misunderstood what is happening. Please give more information. As new computer, I assume that it relates to a recently created backup task, please provide a bit more information. Is the backup to a local drive, USB drive or a NAS?

Ken, ditto to the comments from Ian above.

Please confirm what version / build of True Image you are using here?  This is shown on the Account page for the later versions, else in Help > About.

The MVP Log Viewer Tool (available from the Community Tools link below) is the best way of seeing what messages are being reported in the backup task logs, and which can help tell us/you what is really going on here?

More specific details of what you are doing, screen shots if you have them, all help.
