MSVCR120.DLL and MSVCP120.DLL error messages after restore with TI2016 (Latest version)
I wanted to pass this information along...
I acquired a new RCA Cambio W1162 a week ago...It's a Windows 10 32bit Atom Z3735F CPU Tablet...
I was trying to install Win10 Anniversary Edition (Big Mistake)...
It left the tablet with many missing drivers...So since I had just imaged the internal eMMC disk the other day with the latest version of Acronis TI 2016 I went ahead and did a restore thinking everything would be OK after that (The backup had been verified as good when first done)...
Much to my surprise I had IMAGE error messages on boot after the restore had been accomplished and the Tablet had been rebooted. The error messages were for MSVCR120.DLL and MSVCP120.DLL and both were tied to ITUNES and ACRONIS...I deinstalled ITUNES and ran a repair on Acronis TI and that got rid of the error messages. I then reinstalled ITUNES and I still have no error messages now. I checked
C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and both MSVCR120.DLL and MSVCP120.DLL are both present.
Wanted to pass this along...Something not quite right with the backup/restore process using the latest version of TI2016. Hopefully the system is OK...
EDIT: I just also discovered that many of the Windows settings including PRIVACY Settings has reverted back to defaults after the restore!!!

DaveI,
From a Windows admin command prompt run SFC /SCANNOW on your drive so that Windows can repair the files.

I use the defaults that Acronis put in except that I remove the profile exclusions for the browser...
The only other stuff that I exclude are media files (mp3, video) since those are archived on other drives...
Thanks for the reminder about SFC /SCANNOW... I usually don't mess with that after a restore but in this
case it was a good idea to do it...It came up clean (no integrity violations)...But in my experience I've seen
it come up clean before and it could be a completely hosed drive...
P.S. I had to run the MS Media Creation tool from a 32gb flash drive as the Windows 10 Anniversary update
requires 16GB free storage space for a 32bit system (20GB for a 64bit system). And the tablet only has 32GB drive (and I couldn't
get it to have more than 14GB free without deinstalling everything...I left the update run overnight while I slept...Woke up
and saw a new Windows interface (slightly) and thought everything had gone smoothely....Hardly the case....There were
something like 8 unrecognized devices that no drivers had been loaded for...I managed to get sound and one camera working
by pointing it to the old driver store but the rest could not be recognized and RCA only makes available 4 drivers for download...
So as it is right now Anniversary update is a no go for this tablet...Silly really the way the are doing this update...Should have
just released the APP updates seperately and minor system fixes rather a whole new OS installation...

Dave, you might be able to run doubledriver and have it pull all of the drivers from your "intact" system before the anniversary update and keep those handy. Then, after the anniversary restore, use the saved drivers to manually update the ones that are missing. I've run into this issue with 16gb tablets, but looks like the problem is greater with the larger Windows install files now too. You might be able to free up some extra space by minimizing the page file and turning off hibernation. I also have been able to free up some extra space using the system cleanup too from right clicking the C: drive >>>properties >>> disk cleanup >>> clean up system files and select everything. Then go in and double check your temp directory (C:\users\profilename\appdata\local\temp) and also turn on hidden files/folders and see if there is a $Windows.~BT folder on the root of the C: drive. This is where the update embeds itself ahead of time and will also be created when you create your USB installer with the media creation tool. If you have your USB tool created, delete this to free up another 4+Gb of space too before upgrading.
I ran the update on my ASUS T200 with 64GB eMMC flash yesterday and all seems to be well (so far), but I went with 64GB because I was afraid of not having enough space for upgrades.
For the other issues, seems like maybe the space limitation may be part of the reason you're upgrade had issues afterwards. I will admit that I have the 2017 beta of Acronis installed at this time, and not 2016 so can't say if there is a compatibility issue there or not. iTunes is working OK for me after the upgrade as well.

I got the Windows AU to work on the RCA Cambdio...
I had tried it again and got same results...
Then I disabled the Kaspersky Internet Security and Removed the Intel HD Graphics Driver...Reran the AU update and it went through no problem
and it reinstalled the Intel HD Graphics Driver...
Now I just have to turn off all the privacy stuff they turned back on (I'm sure that was by accident MS)...and to remove all those crappy
bundled apps again...And turn off telemetry...And then I just need to do that for 9 more computers....ugh.

You can download MSVCR120.DLL and MSVCP120.DLL here and then unzip and extract. Put the extracted files in the root repository.
