No Comments - Money Refunded

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

Lack of the ability of Acronis True Image 2016 to show the Comments of existing Comments / Descriptions inside of existing Partition images that had been created, from the operating system, and failure of Acronis to give me a call back at the appointed time, caused me to Email them.

"Hello Morton,

Since I never spoke to Sandeep Budki, I sent the following Email:

" Hi Sandeep Budki,

I am home and the block is off the number ###-###-####, so calls from through. And my cell phone is right besides me. That number is ###-###-####.

Remember I upgraded from Acronis True Image 2012 with Comments / Description viewable right away. If I knew that Acronis True Image 2015 wasn't able to view Comments for existing Builds, I would never have kept the product. But then I was offer a Free Upgrade to Acronis True Image 2016 which fixed the ability to see the partitions in order to restore the image to the proper partition, but lacked the ability to see the Comments / Descriptions in existing Images like Acronis True Image 2012 had / has.

Bottom Question: If Comments / Descriptions aren't going to be restored for Acronis True Image 2016, will I be entitled to a Free Upgrade to Acronis True Image 2017, when it comes out with the ability to see and read the Comments / Descriptions of the existing Images? If not, please refund my money.

The ability to read Comments, is very important to me.

Thank you!"

Apparently, Comments are not going to be restored to Acronis True Image 2016, so they refunded the money paid to me, today.

Hello Morton,

Thank you for your email.

Morton, as I have informed you earlier that this is designed behavior and our developers are working on improvements.

I understand that the backup comments are important to you.

So as per your request we have submitted a refund request for the order # 76834041 to our on-line store. Please make sure to uninstall the related Acronis software from all your machines, and delete it from any storage media and other devices where it's been stored. You are going to receive a credit notification from the on-line store that managed this purchase, Cleverbridge, in 1 business day. The payment is going to be transferred back to your account within approximately 5-7 business days depending on the internal operations and policies of your credit organization. Please check the receipt of the refund with your bank in one week and let us know if you have received it. If you don't mind, we'll also get back to you in a week to follow up on the status and make sure your request gets completely resolved.

Having multiple partitions and operating systems on one computer, makes it unnecessary to use a Bootable Rescue CD, since I can boot into another operating system to restore the one I need to restore. The Beauty of Dual or Multiple operating systems on the same computer.

I have the same issue with TI 2015 where there is no access to the description after it was entered in the field.

How are users able to discern between all the various variations of the backup if they do not have an idea of what has changed between the various saves ?

It is ironic that anyone in the development team can remove this essential feature.  I must say the new team is a greenhorn to the imaging and backup of computers.

Surely we deserve an update and a fix to this.

What a bunch of amateurs!  The original Acronis True Image product was a good tool and easy to use.  The latest creation is just junk!  How can you have a 'design feature' that doesn't allow access to comments you have created during your backup?

One of the reasons I am still using 2014, I want to upgrade 3 computers to 2016 but the software seems to be a bloted mobile application at this point.

Really dissapointed in the direction ATI is headed. It was such a perfect product up to 2014.. What are you guys doing, trying to NOT sell your your software. There is like no ability to customize the images. or view or create the comments. this causes a problem as I have several versions of system images.
