No network adapter found on Lenovo Thinkpad Lenovo T460s

Thread needs solution

I need to take an image from a new Lenovo T460s Ultrabook, model 20F9-0044MZ.

However, with the latest version of TI16 on a USB-stick and a LAN-cable connected, TI16 does not recognise any network adapter and therefore cannot save anything on a network storage.
Technically, the LAN-plug socket works fine and the status lights work fine and the LAN-connector works also during Windows operation.

Hello, if the standard, linux based rescue media is not detecting your network adapter (Intel Pro/1000?) then you will need to create the Windows PE version of the rescue media which should have better support plus which also allows you to use commands at the Windows command prompt window to connect to network drives.

See How to Map Network Drives From the Command Prompt in Windows for information on doing the above.

Ditto to Steve's post.  Alternatively, these often come in handy for situations like this and will work with default Acronis media as well as other bootable media types you may find this type of issue with too.

If you have an Intel Pro/1000 NIC it should be supported, those things have been around for a long time, I can't imagine they lack driver support in the boot media.  Have you had a look at the Network Options in the boot media to see what is shown?  You should see your network adapter shown there as eth0 along with your IP address, gateway, etc.
