PC Reboot Causes Scheduled Backup To Start

Thread needs solution

Backup scheduled for 1am (completed successfully) it's 3pm and I reboot my PC.   I was wondering why it was running so slow.   Task Manager showed TrueImageHomeService.exe hogging the CPU.   Looked into it further and it was running a backup.   Why?   This has happened other days but I just didn't dig far enough into it.    How do I fix this?   I'm running the latest build of Acronis True Image 2016.

Thanks.

Chris, the main reason for scheduled backups to run at PC startup is because you have selected the option for this in the Advanced options of the Schedule page for your tasks.  See the attached screen shot of these options.

Nope.   My setup is attached.    This issue only started recently.   I've also had issues with the Blue Screen of Death recently.

Chris, in your screen capture for your settings you have 'Run at system startup with delay 0 minutes' ticked - this means that for any missed or unsuccessful scheduled task, i.e. at 2:00am will be retried immediately after the system restarts.

For the BSOD, I can recommend downloading and installing a copy of the free 'Who Crashed' tool for analysing the dump files produced for the BSOD.
