RC,

More information is needed to help diagnose your problem.

Why do you believe ATI is causing your problem?  Have you recently installed ATI 2016 and then this started?  What is your hardware configuration?  Desktop or laptop, ethernet or wifi... type network, if any...?

With the additional info, I will try to duplicate your problem.

RC, I would suggest changing some of the services that Acronis starts automatically if these systems will not be connected to the internet.

Acronis Nonstop Backup Service and Acronis Sync Agent Service could both be changed from Automatic to Manual by opening Services.msc (from a Windows Run prompt) unless you are running a Nonstop Backup to a local drive.

You would need to Stop these services if they are already running before testing to see if the Shutdown is normal again.

RC,  as Steve has noted, Acronis automatically start several services at boot up.    Personally, I have them turned off since I am not using Nonstop backup or sync.  I have just shut down my computer with the internet disconnected and with the internet connected, and the shutdown times are the same with no delays.

ATI does have some confirmed shutdown issues, but I don't know if internet connectivity is related to the known problems.

Here's a link you should read regarding slow shutdown.  It contains some other links that you should also read.

Please let us know if shutting down the services fixes the problem.  Thanks.

You might also check to make sure the "Acronis check for updates" is unchechecked.

Also any other program which checks for updates could be involved.  This could be a trial and error basis.
