*.tib file looks too big

Thread needs solution

Tablet with 223 Gb Hard Drive (64.6 used space, 158 free space, one logical disk C:), OS Win 10 64x

I made the very first backup of the entire disk with the following options: Backup scheme: custom, Backup method: Incremental, create a full version after every 5 incremental versions, backup sector-by-sector, no backup of unallocated space. The rest of backup options were by default. No external hard drives connected. The backup is made on network place.

I expected to get a *.tib  file with the size not more than used space was (64.6 Gb). Unexpectedly the size of the final *.tib file was 192 Gb. What's wrong?

The option "backup sector by sector" needs to be unchecked.

When this is checked, you are backing up entire partition size.

Start over with a new task.

In versions 2015 and 2016, a  "Entire PC" is a backup of ALL INTERNAL DISKS, so if you have more than 1 internal disk,

the backup will include ALL that are internal. External USB or network drives excluded.
