Trying to upgrade to True Image 2016 from Backup and Recovery...

Thread needs solution

I wanted to get a newer version of Acronis and visited the site to see what was available.  I was given the opportunity to purchase True Image 2016 upgrade for $20 and took it.

 

However, after installing, I was prompted to provide my new serial key and my old serial key.  When I enter my "Backup and Recovery" key, it comes back with an incorrect/invalid serial number message.

I still have access to my original documentation for Acronis B&R from Cleverbridge.  When I called Cleverbridge they tell me to call Acronis.  When I call Acronis I either get prompted to pay for a block of support, or I need to leave a message and wait for someone to get back to me.

So far, I've waited almost three days and have not heard back from anyone.

Does anyone have ideas as to a solution?  I paid $84 for the B&R and now another $20 for TI. If True Image upgrade isn't for Backup and Recovery, why did the Acronis Website offer it to me as an option?

I believe your best option is to try on-line chat.

Then select:

Customer Care

Then select 

Product Activation Issue

Then hit the chat button.  I have used the chat function for another issue, and it worked well.

The link does not reference an upgrade from Backup & Recovery to ATI 2016.  However, Acronis does have a 30 day no questions asked refund policy.  Hopefully you can get this resolved through chat.
