Uninstall leaves files and registration entries behind

Thread needs solution

I've been trying to heklp a neighbor who purchased TI 2016 at my suggestion.  He ran into problems wheere he was getting a message about some missing file.  An attempt to repair the installation by reinstallaton failed.

So I thought it might be useful to uninstall the program before reinstalling it.  The uninstall "appeared" to go OK/ But when we went to reinstall using an orginal download, the program said it couldn't be done because there was already a newer verson installed.  (After the original installation it had been updated automatically)

Upon examination, I saw that a large number of Acronis files still existed, plus there was a huge number of Acronis registration entries remaining as well.

How can we completely uninstall the program to try an install from the original download, and see if the program gives the missing file message.

See the link below, download the cleanup tool and run it on the PC to remove all files.  Make sure you follow the instructions for removing leftover registry entries, this usually proves not to be necessary but you should check as instructed anyway.

However, I followed that link anad now have an additional question.  The cleanup tool says it's for TI 2015, and we are having problems with TI 2016.

Does the tool also work with TI 2016?
