unwanted backup scheduling
Somehow Acronis True Image 2016 started backing up my hard drive daily though I didn't select that option. Soon my data partition I had made was full.
I didn't want automatic scheduling of backups weekly or daily or otherwise. I selected the option not to backup up my hard drive automatically. However when I went back to that screen days later where "daily" or "weekly" backups can be scheduled, "weekly" was selected.
I didn't choose to have a backup done "weekly".
What is the solution to preventing Acronis software from changing my selection from what I wanted (no scheduled backups)?

Thank you for your advice. It is much appreciated.
What do you mean by 'recreate your backup tasks?'
I do have several backups that show up in the list at the left hand side of the screen in Acronis.
Are you saying these will not show up in the list if I re-install ATI latest build?
How would I re-populate the list in the new version with my old backups?

Ryan, recreating your backup tasks can be done by one of two ways.
If you want to keep your old backup images, then take the option at the bottom of the left column to 'Add existing backup' which will add in a new task with the full name of the existing backup image file - you should just pick the latest backup image of each task to be added.
Once you have the new task in the list, you will see an option to 'Reconfigure' the task instead of the normal 'Backup now' option. Do this for each of the different backup tasks you have.
The other method of recreating your backup tasks would be to keep the existing images but create whole new backup tasks and direct the backup images to a new destination folder on your backup drive, so that the new images don't overwrite your old ones.

Hello Ryan,
You saw "weekly" on the screen with schedule settings because it is default value for all EntirePC, disk and partition-level backups. "Daily" is default option for files and folders-level backups.
When you wanted to create a new backup, maybe you clicked on the plus sign in the bottom left corner of the screen. This started a new backup task wizard and default value (weekly) was taken. If you want to create a new backup manually I suggest you clicking on green "Backup now" button instead of plus sign. This way you would append a new incremental backup to the previously made backups.
