What is a "test" image backup?

Thread needs solution

I made a backup yesterday and it didn't use a filename called a test  here's the name it used today

6-12-16 test_full_b2_s1_v1.tib

I said use 6-12-16 but not the rest.

Is this a image file I can restore?  If so, why is the word test in the filename?

Jim, could you attach some screenshots of yoru backup task - are you sure you didn't use "test" on accident.  What happens if you create a new backup and run it - what is the file name then?  What version of Acronis are you using and is it a full one, a trial, or one that came with another product like from WD or something like that.

If the file was created successfully, it should be recoverable, but if using a trial version, recovery can only be done via the offline recovery media.  If you have a full version, double click on the backup .tib file and it shoudl open in file explorer so that you can navigate it and see what content is in the backup.

I used it and it recovered the drive.  I always do these with the revovery disk.
