Windows: Restoring backuped image (*.iso) after recovering from crash

Thread needs solution

I have the Windows version and I would like to know how do I restore a backed up image that I made last month before my hard drive crash & had to be replaced. My new install of True Image Home 2016 is not detecting previous backups on my dedicated external hard drive. I need help as soon as possible.

Hello, Scott.

Did you mean to say *.tib instead of *.iso?

You can manually add an existing backup archive by following the steps described here.

You can also recover the image using the bootable rescue media.

No, *.iso image file. I clicked on the link for further instructions and attempted to follow them. However, I never received any menus or prompts to manually choose old backup. I need help because I am getting more frustrated than ever. I have the Windows 10 version.

How did you create the .iso file? That type of file is not typically used for a backup. I suspect you made a .iso file of the recovery media. If so you need to burn the .iso file to a cd as an image then boot from the cd to recover any backup files.
