Acronis 2017 crashes with latest Windows 10 build 14965

Thread needs solution

I have recently installed Windows 10 build 14965 and when trying to setup a new backup destination with Acronis 2017 it crashes. I have tried a cleanup and reinstalation but it crashes every time. Reverting to a previous Windows 10 build allows it to work again.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Welcome to these user forums - I would assume that build 14965 is one of the Windows 10 Preview Builds for Insiders doing beta testing, so best advice would be to open a support ticket directly with Acronis so that they can look into this and ensure there isn't going to be an issue for lots of users when this build rolls out generally.

Good suggestion. I have been in touch with support over a CSS copy issue and also the NAS issue recently. You are correct that this issue has come about with the introduction of the latest Windows 10 Preview Builds for Insiders. I should have thought there were others out there with the same setup. I have notified Acronis support by filling out the form one gets after a crash but not set up a ticket as yet. I am going to drop back to Acronis 2015 and see if that is more stable first. It was always more reliable for for my system than either 2016 or 2017.
