Paul, welcome to this user forum.

Am I correct in assuming that you are using ATIH 2017 given you are posting to the 2017 forum?

If so, then when you click on a backup task within the main application GUI page, then on the (V) icon to the right of the task name, this will give additional options that can be applied to the backup task, including an option to Delete which if clicked will then offer two further options, to delete only the task settings or to delete everything, settings and files.

Given that you still have the backup files on your hard drive, you have just removed the backup settings, so you have several different options available to you at this point.

  1. From Windows Explorer, you can right-click on the backup file, then on True Image and Mount the backup as a new drive letter, then access the data therein.
  2. Again from Windows Explorer, you can double-clcik on the backup file and access the data without needing to mount it.
  3. Within the ATIH GUI, click on the V at the bottom next to Add backup, then take the option to Add existing backup which will add the backup back as a task in the main task listing display, where you can then perform further actions against this, including reconfiguring the backup settings if needed.
