Cannot enter activation key

Thread needs solution

I've re-installed Acronis 2017 on a computer that has some new hardware. Normally when I do this and run Acronis I get a message asking me to activate. This time, I'm seeing a message in the Windows message center (pop-up, lower right), but when I run Acronis, nothing. I have no dialog asking me to activate. I've tried several time. How to I fix this?

I would suggest making a completely full, clean install of your ATI 2017 on this computer by doing a normal Control Panel uninstall then using the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link in my signature), followed by doing a full restart to avoid any issues of Windows Fast Start (aka Hybrid Sleep) being involved.

Note: you shouldn't need to make any manual Windows Registry changes as suggested by the Cleanup KB document, nor should you have any Extended Capacity disks that it asks about - the latter are a throw back to before Windows included support for larger drive sizes & brought in UEFI & GPT.

I figured it out. In the side-bar menu I went to Account and there got the dialog about activations. I was able to move the license there. I recall that in the past, this dialog came up automatically when I opened Acronis -- possibly I'm mistaken.

Glad that you have got this resolved and activated, thanks for giving the feedback.
