GUI - font rendering

Thread needs solution

I just installed TrueImage2017 on a Windows 7 Ultimate computer with decent graphics card and 21" monitor. Since I did this via a remote desktop session I thought the fonts on buttons and text was just a result of remote desktop (which typically does fine). When I sat in front of the actual computer, I see some strange font rendering on buttons and in other places where a drive path is shown, for example. Attached file shows a screenshot.

Notice the "Back up now" button, and the text showing the network path, as well as text beneath "next backup"

Has the application chosen some odd font rather than a standard system font? I know later versions of windows (8, 10) have relegated font rendering to the application and ClearType is no-more. But what about those of us on older versions of the OS. Surely this hideios user interface isn't what was intended?

Any help?

I just noticed my image above didn't include some of the text I was referring to (but the text on buttons is obvious). Attached is another example from the application. It looks like my display is set to some 8 bit rendering scheme (or worse). Clearly the application doesn't use the OS rendering engine, and what is the font they've chosen, looks like some version of Futura. It makes my eyes hurt.

I haven't noticed any issues with the text.  Are you using any scaling (like setting default to 125% or something else >>>> Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display)? Or have you changed any other fonts when using a customized theme under Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization)?

If not, I'd recommend opening a support case and working with Acronis technical support show them the font and see if they can help.  You can also submit feedback through the application and include a system report with it to make sure this gets logged with the developers.
