How to export scheduled backup configuration

Thread needs solution

How does one export the sheduled Disk Backup Options?

This would include settings under all 5 tabs:

Also, will Acronis ever get a clue regarding forum software? They may as well have stayed with Wilders Security forums.

Hi Andros,

It's still not possible to export settings - been asking for it for awhile myself.  Please submit feedback through the app with your thoughts and recommendations on the usefulness of this missing feature and refrence this thread post as well. If enough of us keep asking, it will find it's way into the app.

No comment on the forum - you are not alone with your thoughts :) There are changes in progress though and speed has picked up (was really laggy for sometime), but some of the changes have resulted in other missing items that used to be here too.

Andros, whilst you cannot export any of the scheduling information for your backup tasks, you can backup the configuration for those same backup tasks, as this is held in the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder in the form of individual XML format files with a .TIS file extension.  You can look at the contents of these files with a normal text editor which will show you which file relates to which of your backup tasks.

Thanks Steve & Bobbo for your comments. I did find the directory that stores the scheduling settings. Of course, no guarantee that restoring them will work properly, given the scheduling bug still seems to exist.

I also miss the Event Log Viewer, but at least I can keep a running record using the email feature. It's frustrating that Acronis addresses issues that make the product inferior to previous versions (removing features) and completely ignore issues (like scheduling issues) that have been present version after version.

There is a flawed logic in play at Acronis that I don't quite understand. That said, I went for the 2017 upgrade simply because I could buy the 5 machine pack for less than 1 new purchase of the competition.

Acronis has been functional and useful over the years, and I am impressed with some aspects of 2017. The only reason I even think about dropping them is the sporadic bits of...stupidity excercised in the program. If they would apply themselves to fix the bugs & come up with a 'Basic' and 'Advanced' view to accommodate both types of users, I would have no problem.

A perfect example of what I'm talking about is the forum software they choose. They just can't seem to get it right. [/soapbox]

Again, thanks for your responses. I wonder if Acronis knows that It's regulars like you, Grover and others that keep them afloat - Thanks!

Andros, one of the MVP's, Randy, created the Log File Viewer app to help with the issue of managing the logs files since Acronis took out the direct option to see these within the GUI.  Link is in my signature below.
