The last backup has been stopped. This happens every time. Backups have failed for a month

Thread needs solution

I just noticed backups have not run for a month. Thanks for the warning :(

If I click Backup Now, it gives me the same message.

This is only happening on one of my 3 backups "sets".  I have no idea why.

I cloned that backup set and get the same error.

I created a whole new backup set for the same drive. Seme error.

Therese, welcome to these User Forums.

Sorry but not enough information to be able to tell you why this backup stopped message is being given?

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool (from the Community Tools link below) and use this to check for any other messages being written in the log for the problem task.  You are welcome to post the log file(s) as text attachments to this forum thread if you need help understanding the contents.

These unexpected occurrence can be a pain. That is why I have a global setting for email notifications (this only works with ATI 2017 and ATI 2018). Open ATI, select "Settings" and click on "change email notifications" which open your web base account at the relevant page (screenshots for ATI 2018 are attached).

I'm attaching the whole log file, but it looks like this is the relevent part.

It's the backing up of my C:\ drive that just stops.

If I start it manually it just says (within 20 seconds) :"The last backup has been stopped. It will restart at <3 minutes later" . It never does.

I also tried creating a fresh Backup  "process" in Acronis to backup the C drive, thinking that maybe my backup file was fouled.

The first time I tried that it failed, but it seems to be backing up this time.
I'll report back
tomorrow.

The fresh backup process succeeded. So it's either a problem with:

1. Backup file (.tib)

2. The backup "project" in TI

I'm trying to delete the backup file (or at least cause the project to start a new file).

GREAT idea! I just set it.

They really need to advertise that more. I knew about the per-project email settings but you have to enter your SMTP info and that created enough of a speedbump (10m maybe) so that I never got around to it.
